Abstract
Recently, reports in the clinical literature based on the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) value have frequently appeared. However, it is possible that the numerical value of the MIC might vary to some degree depending on the factor used to measure it, so that a problem might arise when attempting to capture the MIC as an absolute digital numerical value. In the present study, the authors have examined the individual factors which might have an influence on, and analyze the changes made to, the MIC value.
